How Can We Help?

Submitting your details to Lumina

You are here:

Once you’ve created your two accounts, you will need to send your API credentials and your details to Lumina so we can integrate your accounts with our systems.

Secure Submission

These API credentials can be entered as you follow the guides using the forms in the guides, or can be submitted via the Command Module (the button below will take you there) – both of these options are secure and the recommended approach.

What We Need

Your details:

  • Your name and surname
  • Your email address (to receive Orbit confirmations)
  • Your cellphone number (so we can contact you if needs be)
  • Your physical address (for invoicing)

Luno details (if chosen for your Local Exchange):

  • Luno API Key
  • Luno API Secret
  • Luno Email Address

VALR details (if chosen for your Local Exchange):

  • VALR API Key
  • VALR API Secret

Kraken details:

  • Kraken API Key
  • Kraken API Private Key

Alternative Methods for Submission

We strongly suggest that you use our integrated methods for submission for the sake of security and simplicity. If you really don’t want to do this – at your own risk to your account security – you are welcome to use any of the methods below.

Bear in mind that if they get intercepted or found by someone they will be able to use these credentials freely. If this does happen, they will have limited functionality (due to how the API keys were set up) and you can delete your old key and generate a new one easily. It is therefore safest to use one of the methods below and then delete your copy of the keys after they have been received by Lumina.

Telegram Messenger

If not using our secure forms, the best option: send the API keys via Telegram Messenger. Telegram messages are encrypted, which means that nobody can intercept your messages, and you can set an expiry for a message.

Encrypted PDF

If not using our secure forms, the 2nd best option: make an encrypted PDF containing your credentials. Send the document to us via email and then share the password to the document separately via Telegram or WhatsApp. The idea is to share the document and the passcode separately, so if someone accesses your email, they won’t have the password, and conversely, if someone accesses your WhatsApp they won’t have the document.

Email

If not using our secure forms, the 3rd best option: send your API keys to us via email and your secrets via Telegram or WhatsApp. Not that secure, but better than sending everything all in the same place for the same reason as the 2nd option.

NB: After this, we recommend deleting the document which has your API keys – you won’t need them anymore and any changes to the access rights will require new keys to be created.
