Launching into Orbit

To start an Orbit, please follow the steps below:

1. Ensure you have completed everything in the Setup Checklist.
2. Email your FX broker to request a conversion and a send – and CC us in so that we know to expect your funds to land

Automatic Email

For an ideal email, subscribe to our Daily Alert emails – this email contains a button which creates the perfect email to send with some specific information customised just for you. You are welcome to unsubscribe from this email at any time.

Manual Email

If you would rather create an email for each Orbit’s launch, please read below.

Make sure you specify these things in your email:

• The amount that you’d like to convert in ZAR
• The currency to convert to (EUR)
• To send using the ‘OUR’ SWIFT method (this ensures the lowest cost and fastest transfer time)
• The exchange you’d like to send to (must be set up as a beneficiary – see here for Kraken if you haven’t already sent your deposit details to your Treasury Outsourcer)
• [OPTIONAL] That the send should go out today (to avoid your FX risk – this can work in your favour)

Therefore your message to your treasury outsourcer could be phrased along the following lines:

“Please could you convert R150k to EUR and send it to my Kraken address using the ‘OUR’ SWIFT method.

Please convert today only if you can do the transfer on the same day.”

That’s it – we take care of the rest. For you, this process normally takes the same amount of time to send an email.
